Noise

New exhaust. Nice.

Phil brought his noise meter along to the Club meeting tonight, and tested my car with its new exhaust as 95 dB @ 5000 rpm, 0.5m, 45 degrees. That's good because it's quiet enough to get on any track day, but it's also got a nice tone to it.

IanT's just bought a lovely Caterham Blackbird. Unfortunately it's a bit too loud: 96 dB @ idle; 116 dB @ 9000 rpm! He'll need to do something about that before gets allowed to play on track.
